An Important Pair of Wall Appliques in the Louis XVth Style

Description

Cast in two colour bronze, gilt and patinated: herms of Bacchus and a Maenad, clad in foliate and berry dressed robes, terminating in pine cone finials, issue four sinuous candle arms, drilled for electricity, with vasiform fluted lamp holders, and berried drip pans.
